$15.00 bucks buys you six (half) pages of instruction and two gimmicked cards and a pretty darn good trick with some awkward moments.
The effect is very magical, so let's start there. Basically it's this: You have a packet of four (?) cards in your right hand and the deck tabled. Your story line is that you are showing two hands of poker (one card at a time) as they happened in some fictitious game. It goes like this:
- Left hand turns over top card of deck (5 H)
- Show that a Ten magically appears face up in your four face down cards in your right hand
- Left hand turns over top next top card of deck (6 H)
- Show a second Ten magically turning face up in your packet
- Next top card of deck (7 H)
- A third Ten appears face up
- Next top card (8 H)
- All four cards in your packet are now magically face up
So far, this plays like a typical sort-of Twisting The Aces plot with the Tens coupled with the turning over of the top four cards on the deck. A few magical moments, but nothing too exciting. However, you then turn up the top card of the deck to show the 9 of Hearts completing the Straight Flush for your competitor. You then show again the fronts and backs of the four tens which instantly become five cards Ten to The Ace of Spades Royal Straight Flush.
The whole time you clearly have (seemed) to show the fronts and backs of every card in play. Even as I stumbled through the handling while reading the booklet, the finale felt very magical and looked very magical.
There are, however, some weaknesses. First, the Royal Flush pile cannot be examined, but likely will not need to be, so that's minor. I have an issue with some of the handling. There are a couple of moments in the handling that make no sense, and even a part that's just not needed at all. Eliminate these moments and throw in some false shuffles before beginning and you have a solid effect that could really be a show piece. There is one (maybe 2) awkward moments in the handling that can be overcome either with practice or with better handling.
If, however, you like the effect, you'll be very happy with your purchase. As for product quality, value, practicality of method, etc., it's pretty easy to recommend this.
