Short and sweet! Chad Sanborn's dvd features three distinct effects - each totally different from the other.
'Master Link' is a rubber band link/unlink effect that rates a 5/10 . Don't buy the dvd for this effect. Although it's not a bad effect, Master Link does not stand up to the other two effects.
'Optical Bend' is Chad's contribution to the " let's see how many spoons we can ruin " genre' . As with all dvd's on this subject, there has to be a 'secret move ' - and the secret move does not involve ESP.. so don't get your hopes up.
On the other hand, Chad's handling of the mentally bending of a spoon, as popularized by Uri Geller, will fool ninety-nine percent of all the uninformed. This is also the only spoon bending effect I can find where the spoon is in full view the entire time.
Your presentation is everything to the overall success of Optical Bend, as you are not provided with a gimmick, nor is one needed. Watch the dvd and work on your moves and you will be ready to fool your audience in short notice.
I am not a coin-kind-of-guy, but after watching Chad's 'The Holy Grail' I immediately began scouring through drawers looking for loose change. I have never seen a routine that I was actually willing to put forth the effort to master - until now.
Holy Grail is a fantastic "3 Fly" routine where 3 coins, one by one, vanish from one hand and appear in the other. Three coins are produced and three only are used..
Master this effect and I assure you that you will be be envy of all..
Overall, I recommend Mind Bender and am sure you will find room in your repertoire for a couple of these very visual effects.
