WHAT YOU GET
What you get is the number one selling magic item of all time. Depending up which one you get, you will either have one or two devices that you put on one or both thumbs. With these, you can make it seem like you are grabbing a light out of thin air. You can toss the light from one hand to the other, you can push it in one ear and out the other, etc.
WHAT I LIKE
The quality of these devices is very good. They are soft rubbery type thumbtips and the light device works very well. They can be cut to fit your thumb best and Rocco explains how to do that.
They come ready to go, no assembly required. All you need to do is pull the tab that protects the battery from lighting and you are ready to go.
He teaches a wide variety of uses for the device, including several routine ideas. I really like how he teaches how to use the device in conjunction with other items, like a ball. So, in this example, you pluck a light from somewhere, cause it to disappear into your ear, appear out the other, etc, and then at the end, the light turns into a red ball.
The ad is honest and accurate. If you like the trailer, you are going to like this.
WHAT I DON’T LIKE
I really don’t think there are too many negatives with this product. However, perhaps an obvious word of caution: These are thumb tips that go on your thumbs. You will need to keep that in mind for where you will be performing this. This is probably not something you would want to perform close-up in a brightly lit place. These could be used close up in a bit darker environment, like a bar or a living room with the lights turned down. You should practice with them in different environments with someone who can give you feedback on whether they are noticeable or not.
AT A GLANCE
Skill level required: 1 of 5.
Audience management skill required: 1 of 5.
Performance angles: 360 degrees
Reset time required: None
Do-it-yourself time involved in advance: None
VERDICT
This really is a classic. If you liked what you saw in the trailer, then you can’t go wrong with these. The two pack version comes in a very sturdy, very nice box that is padded to keep your Prisma Lights secure when not in use. Just an excellent product and Rocco does a great job explaining how to use it.
