After watching the Elemental Coin Magic DVD, I was expecting amazing things from this DVD. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations.
It seemed to me that the card mechanics weren't as polished as the coin work. Also, the stories on this volume were not as developed as the volume on coins. Not that they were bad; they just seemed incomplete.
I think the real value in this DVD is the ideas. With just a bit of thought and effort, an enterprising magician could turn most of these routines into something uniquely wonderful and personal. The methods are solid and in most cases the scripts just need to be edited.
Zingg is well-versed in the really good magic techniques which are usually only found in older books. He's also developed many of his own methods. He teaches a few gems on this DVD including the Thompson/Rutledge Palm, a bottom placement, a second deal and a Zarrow shuffle that can be done standing up.
