Tangled Web

Bar Magic, Close-up Magic, Strolling Magic, Mentalism, Stage--even two pieces for kids (we're serious)
In addition, there are seven instructive and challenging essays, and two chapters devoted to work with a memorized deck and a systematic approach to Vernon's "Trick That Cannot Be Explained"--a professional approach to these topics that is stunning in its depth, intelligence and originality.
This collection of magic is the real deal--or, as Teller describes it in his introduction to Tangled Web:
"There is no bull***t, not a nugget, between these covers. If you're like me, you'll emerge changed, inspired, tingling."
In the belief that exquisite magic deserves an exquisite form, Tangled Web has been produced with bibliophilic sensibilities inside and out. A book that is pleasing to hold and to read. Magic and mentalism that stands with the finest. Yet, at an affordable price.
Pages 260 - Hardcover.

Having read Teller's words on Tangled Web I found myself intrigued enough to request it as a present for my birthday. Now we are all used to seeing what we lovingly describe as dealer blurb, and personally I am extremely sceptical when someone tells me I will leave a book 'Changed, Inspired and Tingling".
On this occasion however i am so very pleased to say that Teller is absolutely spot on. For someone who has spent a few years learning sleights and tricks and has a burning need to get into the 'deeper' stuff of magic this book has it all. Eric Mead's writing is clear, concise and well thought out. This book will be with you as you grow as a magician, some of the stuff in here i went out and used in my work almost immediately, and stunned the audience to boot.. Other chapters are honestly too advanced for me as yet, but i know that one day i will find them invaluable as my skill as a magician grows. In all, this is a book that Eric Mead has obviously put his heart and soul into, tipping not just some of the most usable effects but some of the strongest magical philosophy i have read anywhere.. Maybe the strongest praise i can give is that this book doesn't live on my bookshelf, it lives in my pocket (Yes all that and it's pretty much pocket sized!)
