Transformer
Werry
(Based on 1 review)
The magician shows a real coin on his outstretched palm or on a table. He covers the coin for the briefest moment and it completely vanishes! Or...
You place a coin on the table and give a glass to a spectator to examine. The spectator then holds the glass underneath the table. You briefly touch the coin on the table and apparently push it through the table, landing with a loud clink in the glass!
- No magnets
- Use any coins
- Makes incredible changes, vanishes and appearances very easy
- Comes with special device and illustrated instructions with five different routines.

Transformer apparently has a history, and came a few decades before the Raven and Gecko. The price is low, and it encouraged me to look into more effects by Werry. The device itself, is clever and VERY effective. The problem with it NOW, is that the current manufacturer has made the critical part of the gimmick, out of a piece of flimsy black plastic that broke after a few weeks. Mind you, I wasn't out blowing thousands of people away-I also have a gentle touch. The portion of the gimmick that gets finger pinched, could not handle even moderate stress, thus got 'transformed' into garbage, early on. It wouldn't be hard however to make one myself, as it is a worthwhile means of vanishing or changing a coin. To help with invisibility, I'd make the finger held part flesh colored, which did not occur to the manufacturer. This is yet one more example of a clever, workable trick/utility item, that's been compromised by mass production. Buy this for Werry's ingenuity, and presentation ideas but, MAKE YOUR OWN-it'll last longer. for sure.
