Bottle Thru Body Illusion DVD

Tony Clark

(Based on 1 review)
Amazing and Impromptu!

Just imagine wrapping a piece of paper around any size brown, green or clear bottle and magically penetrate it through someones body! Tony has taken the classic bottle thru table and created a "strolling" close-up illusion that will leave them shocked! The audience actually sees the top of the bottle sticking out of the paper as it is going through the body. With the DVD you will receive 3 quality gimmicks. Also included in the instructional DVD you will learn two versions of the bottle thru body as well as an improved version of the bottle thru table. A very powerful effect that they will long remember!

Bottle Thru Body Illusion DVD by Tony Clark Review

RATING: 3 of 5 stars

REVIEW

I think this is a great routine and the gimmicks are very well made. You get two gimmicks in two different bottle colors that can be used with a wide variety of bottles.

The reason for my rather low rating is there is a similar product that I think is better, Kevin James’ Perrier with a Twist. Kevin’s routine is more thorough and you get one of the same gimmicks as in Tony’s effect, plus an additional different gimmick for the effect of unscrewing the bottom of the bottle. You can watch both demos via an internet search and decide for yourself which looks better. In my opinion, with Kevin’s effect, you will learn everything you need to know to do the bottle through body, plus several additional phases or routines, including a bottle production, unscrewing the bottom of the bottle, and a bottle vanish.

The instruction on both is good, but IMO, the instruction on Kevin’s is superior, just because it covers more ground.

The cost of both is pretty close. The retail cost of Kevin's is $5 more than Tony's.

USABILITY

This routine as well as Kevin James’ routine are suitable for walk-around, close-up, parlor, and stage. A bit of practice is required to get the handling down, but none of the required sleights are particularly difficult.

BONUS

If you are going to buy just one, I suggest you get Kevin’s. However, if you are serious about creating a routine using this sort of prop, I suggest you get both. You might want to create a routine that incorporates the elements of both, given Kevin’s routine has several powerful magical moments, and Tony’s routine includes more spectator involvement. In addition, with Kevin’s effect, you get the props necessary for a Perrier bottle and with Tony’s, you get two gimmicks that could be used with a variety of bottles.

Happy magic trails to you.
