How good is this trick? Well it depends on why you bought it. The reason I bought it was for a LePaul Wallet that accepts a standard 6-3/4 envelope. As it turns out the wallet is below average quality and I was dissatisfied. What you ARE buying here is a complete routine with the necessary props to perform exactly as Doug Malloy performs it. If you are looking for a choreographed routine that doesn't require anything more than learning the lines and using a few sleights that, depending on how long you've studied magic, you may already carry in your arsenal, then you have a complete package. There is nothing new or unique about this routine. It is a compilation of sleights, moves, and gimmicks that have been around for a long time. The VHS details the performance and teaching of the routine. Nothing earth shattering here. The weakest point in the routine is the moment the dirty work is done. We go to the inner jacket pocket to retrieve a magic marker (and load the ring). No real motivation or purpose is in place for this move. The pen isn't used for anything really other than to give you a reason to reach into your jacket. For me this weakens the entire plot, you may as well be reaching for “Woofle Dust”. As a package this effect is average.
