Psi-Deck

(Based on 1 review)
David Hoy's Tossed Out Deck is already a classic, but imagine this improvement. A deck of cards is suffled, fanned, and shown to appear normal. Three participants are freely selected. As in Hoy's classic, a rubberbanded deck of cards is given to #1 and he looks at one card. The same deck is passed to #2 and he, too, looks at one card. You are able to name both cards and even tell who selected which (unlike Hoy's effect) as they have different cards. With spectator #3, you remove an envelope and place it in plain sight. Then, slowly dealing (from the same deck) onto the table, you ask them to tell you when to stop. The card is shown (yes, the same card at which they stopped) and the spectator asked to open the envelope and reveal the prediction. A triple whammy of a miracle. Here's what others say: "Unreservedly recommended. Outstanding...a beautiful product..."--Larry Becker. "If Machiavelli had wanted to do card mentalism, he might have come up with something like Bruce Bernstein's PSI-DECK--but he probably wouldn't have had the patience to make the gaffs."--Max Maven. "Regular readers of mine are aware of my antipathy to card tricks. So, if I rave about one, I must really be impressed. Such is the case with PSI-DECK."--Ford Kross. And lastly, from Richard Busch (author of Peek Performances): "PSI-DECK is beyond my inadequate words altogether...No switching, no switching predictions, no switching anything, I mean nothing. If this isn't stunning and direct, then I don't know what is. Considering the incredible, unbelievable, time consuming workmanship involved in this creation, Bruce's decks are well worth the investment." PSI-DECK is available in two different versions, so you may repeat the effect for the same audience without the same selections being made.

$100 is a lot of money to spend on a deck of cards. A LOT of money. In this case, it's worth twice the price.

I work nightclubs doing 6-8 shows per week, often one-nighters. This kind of schedule can be hell on props, especially gaffed decks. Bruce's Psi-Deck has not only held up, but overcome incidents like the night a cream pie was thrown at me from the audience (Don't ask) and hit me square in the Psi-Deck. A little bit of TLC back at the hotel with a damp cloth, and it was good as new. This is a workers deck, meant to be used and used and used.

Sure it's rugged but what about the effect? I'd guess...and this is just a guess, mind you...that I've performed Psi-Deck under real-world conditions more times than anyone else. So believe me when I tell you that if you want to reduce your audience to gibbering blobs of protoplasm, Psi-Deck is your weapon of choice.
