You ask your spectator to place the blocks into the top of the empty tube in the following order, yellow, blue and finely red but when they come out of the other side, they are in a different order! Overview

The Apprentice Magic line by Murphy's Magic is an ever growing line of classic magic effects designed for the beginning magician. Although they are simple in design and economical in price, do not let their simplicity and cheap price fool you. Just like their metal and wood predecessors, performed properly almost everything released in this line can not only entertaining but fooling as well. Magical Blocks is another example of how a basic premise can be expanded to a full performance piece with a little effort behind creating a routine and a bit of scripting.

Effect

The performer displays three different colored "blocks" and a empty black tube. He then relates to the spectators about the magical properties of the blue block. He place the tube upright on the table and the place the red block first, then the yellow and followed up with the blue last. He snaps his fingers and lifts the tube. Standing in a vertical column the blue block is first, followed by the red and yellow. It appears as if the blue block seemed to have dematerialized and passed through the red an yellow. He repeats this procedure two more times in slightly different ways. The spectators are stunned, but you are not because you know the secret.

Method

The tube is constructed in such a way that will allow this minor miracle to occur. The method is not unlike the classic children's magic trick called The Stratosphere. You are supplied with all the necessary components and it is one of the most simple tricks to perform. Tricks like Magical Blocks are the perfect beginners (and advanced) magical props that will allow you to learn to construct, script and perform a magic routine without the stress of complicated handling.

Product Quality

The quality is as expected for a very inexpensive prop. All the components are plastic and do not look anything more than a child's toy, but that is OK, it's cheap appearance almost aids in the deception. By the way, the blocks are not blocks at all, but are cylindrical in shape. the instructional video is 14 minutes long and covers all that is needed to perform this effect. The video is well shot and the sound and lighting are all superb.

Ad Copy Integrity

The ad copy is accurate but as a side note, when it says patter and script included, this is typically a very basic and sometimes nonsensical script which amounts to nothing but describing what the performer is doing. Describing what you are doing as the performer is a script that should be avoided at all costs.
