HERE ARE JUST TWO OF THE INCREDIBLE EFFECTS ON THE PROJECT...
'ROUND TRIP'
Borrow a quarter and have a spectator initial it on both sides of the coin with an indelible marker. To check that the initials are dry, you give the coin a quick rub against your sleeve...and you impossibly RUB OFF all the
details from the 'head side' of the coin, including the initials! Now one side of the borrowed coin has the spectator's initials, and the other side is a shocking BLANK. You turn over the coin, rub the 'tail side' against your sleeve, and RUB OFF all the details on that side of the coin too! Of course, everybody wants to examine the insane-looking coin...and THEY CAN.
To finish, you wrap a small piece of tissue around the surreal 'blank coin' and in a flash of fire all the details suddenly reappear on both sides of the borrowed coin,
including the spectator's own initials! Bam! Bam! Bam! Three jaw-dropping 'magic moments,' one right after the other, and then you immediately return the borrowed coin, still initialled on both sides! A killer opening effect you can perform with ANY quater!

Have someone drop a borrowed coin inside an empty glass or coffee cup. Then hand out a strange coin to be examined. The coin is the same size as a quarter, but it has no markings of any kind on either side of the coin. Explain that, "It's a coin blank from the U.S. mint. I bought it at a coin collector's shop." Drop the 'unminted coin' into a glass and ask someone to gently shake the glass so the borrowed coin and the 'coin blank' rub against each other. After a few moments, ask someone to examine both coins. They discover that vague, ghost-like features have mysteriously APPEARED on the blank coin. Even stranger, the features are a perfect match to the designs on the borrowed quarter...INCLUDING THE SAME DATE!

Jay and I are close friends. We've known each other for nearly a decade now. Over the years, I've consulted for him on several projects (including this one), and he's consulted for me on a few projects. You may believe that this will taint my review. I'm certainly not perfect, but I do try really hard to not let that influence my review. In fact one of the great things about our relationship is that we respect each other too much to NOT tell the truth. Believe me, we've our share of telling the other that an idea, method, effect, etc. was crap. I tell you this now because I want to make it clear that I'm giving this product a good review based on the actual product and not my relationship with Jay.
On to The Review:
First, consider that you're getting two specially made coins. Forget about the DVD for a moment. To pay only $25 for two custom made coins is a really good deal. Then add to that the DVD which covers several basic coin sleights and techniques for handling the coins. You're taught several presentations. As is typical with most Sankey Magic productions, you get a very well made, well produced DVD crammed full of more stuff than you can handle.
The question is, whether or not you like the effect (I do). If you like it, will you do it? One of the things Jay points out on the DVD is that this effect is simple, practical magic that you will actually do, not a pipe dream, and he's right. It's very basic sleight of hand required. There are some handling ideas using flash paper that make for some nice visual components as well.
For the collection of basic sleights in one place, this DVD's worth owning. For the coins, the product is worth owning. For the instruction, extra "stuff" and experience of Jay Sankey, this product is worth owning. Read the effects carefully. They are just what the ad copy says. You can see a preview at Sankey Magic. What you see is what you get . . .
If you already do spellbound type effects, then you'll be able to do this the day you get it. Unless you simply would not do this effect, then I highly recommend it.
