EFFECT:
In this version, You display a clear box and lid, two small pieces of rope and a ball with a hole going through it. You take the two pieces or rope and run them through the ball.
Next, you place the ball inside the clear box and tie the rope around the box. Your audience member is asked to hold on to both ends of the rope and PULL! Magically, the ball has ESCAPED FROM THE ROPES!

Overview
Escape Room is another release by Apprentice Magic which is geared towards the beginning magician. All the tricks in this series are simple, classic magic tricks that many experienced magicians have long been acquainted with. Once manufactured in brass and exotic woods, these classics are more seen nowadays in the plastic versions like the one offered here. Despite the materials the trick is made of, the effect is the same. The effect relies more on the presentation than the object, and that’s where the magic lies.Effect
The performer produces a small clear box, a red ball with a hole running through and two small ropes. He relates how one of the latest trends in entertainment is the “Escape Room” type of entertainment and he will show how the two ropes he has will escape the confines of the closed box. The two ropes are fed through the hole in the ball and then the ball and ropes are placed in a clear box. The box lid is closed and the ropes are knotted above. The performer pulls on the ropes and unbelievably the ropes escapes the confines of the box.Method
Naturally the prop does all the work for you, which leaves you nothing but to focus on the delivery. Unless you know the secret behind the method, it is extremely hard to re-engineer.Product Quality
I normally rate Apprentice Magic items very high being there is a great deal of value for the dollar. The props provided are of decent quality (for the price) and would withstand the onslaught of abuse it will probably receive by young, perhaps clumsy magicians. However, Escape Room does not live up to those standards. The box I received was not formed correctly. It closed at an awkward angle and the tabs are extremely delicate. I can see this item breaking the third or fourth time it is used. The concept is good, but a major component for this trick is very flawed. The instructions are phenomenalfeaturing Javier Fuenmayor, Murphy’s Magic's new spokesperson. Javier brings this trick to a new level. Ever excited and well spoken, Javier teaches you the routine and a premise to hang it on. Filmed on a beautiful set in High Definition, Javier brings what is needed most in magic; enthusiasm.

See below for the description of the effect, but I am not pleased with this trick. This is not a trick that I will ever perform and it will end up in the closet. It's a shame because it could have bene better if the rope quality was better.Effect
The spectator see the performer holding two strings and a small ball with a hole through the middle. The performer loads two of the strings through the middle of the ball so that the ball is in the middle of the two strings. The ball is loaded into a clear box and one of the strings is knotted over the top of the closed see through box. In an instant, the strings penetrate through the ball and the box and everything is examinable.Method
The method is some trickery in the way the strings are handled. I can't really tell you more than that, but the secret is a cool little trick.Product Quality
My complaints about the product are that the strings are not appropriate for the trick. You cannot thread the strings through the ball easily. The instructional video suggests a way to deal with the issue of fraying strings and I tried it and it doesn't work. Because the strings don't easily drop into the ball, the whole trick looks suspect.Ad Copy Integrity

My issue with the ad copy is that I did not find it easy to perform at all.
