When Matt first showed us this, we loved it and knew it was going to be an instant hit. The method is very clever, and it fooled us, so don't be surprised that it may fool many magicians.
Effect:
Five colored ESP symbols are shown, and the spectator chooses one at random by naming a number and counting to it, landing on one of the symbols. The spectator can even change their mind at this point and pick another symbol.
ALL of the cards are turned over, revealing that the backs are all the SAME except for the chosen card. This seemed to be to good to be true. After watching the promo video and then reading the description, I was a little skeptical - "all cards are shown front and back, instant re-set, no number forces, fully examinable …” it IS all true. The spectator does make all the decisions - chooses the number, decides which way to count (left to right/right to left) you do exactly what they want. Even then you give them a last chance to change their mind and you still prevail. Wow!
I have to admit that I was fooled given all the variables of change that are offered, it is very clever. Matt did an amazing job of putting all this together coming up with a very effective and astonishing prediction effect. Like any other trick you will have to remember a few small things but there are no sleights or anything ‘dirty’ to do that you will get caught on. You will always carry this around as the cards are laminated so will last you a very long time. Whether you are a pro or a beginner it will not take long to start fooling your spectators. The cards come with written instructions but there is a web address included for video explanations. A great trick but some may find this a little overpriced so taking off 1 star because of that, otherwise it is a 5 star effect.
