First, you bring out an envelope, which is handed to a spectator.
Next, five gorgeous full color mini-postcards are shown, each featuring a classic magician poster. They are all placed into regular envelopes, which are handed to another spectator. They shuffle and freely choose any one of them.
In the meantime, you show a shuffled deck of cards, and deal through them. The chosen envelope is placed into the pack by the spectator at any point. The card next to the envelope is removed.
The spectator's envelope is opened - they chose Alexander, The Man Who Knows!
You have them open the prediction envelope that has been visible from the beginning - and it's an Alexander poster! However, this one is slightly different - it features a crystal ball with a card inside... it's the Four of Clubs!
Turning over the chosen card from the pack, it is of course the Four of Clubs!

You have a red prediction envelope that is set to the side from the beginning.
Perfomer shows audience each poster and explains what they were like compared to modern day magicians and mind-reader. You say you will perform in similar style as to that magician that they choose.
Envelopes are handed to spectator to mix by until they are pleased.
Magician shuffle the deck and sets down groups of card on the table of surface and they pick and envelope and drop on top of the cards any time they want. The remainder of cards are placed on the envelope.
The mini poster is removed from the envelope and revealed. Poster matches prediction in red envelope and the card they choose matches the card on the poster.
Very fun and versatile.
4 of 5 due to ease of this effect as is.
It can be presented with some comedy or with a bit of drama, and back story of Alexader the man who know all.
It will only be able to be performed once per group.
With some clever thinking it could be customized using some programs or editing software.
If you did some DIY it would easily be a 5 star effect
