PROS
You get everything you need to perform several effects they teach.
CONS
The very first effect on the DVD, a moving “x”, seemed like a “B” rated effect to me. Not “A” material. The second effect, a vanishing drawing of a coin and a coin production… another “B” rated effect. In my opinion, this is a collection of fun little stunts that aren’t hard hitting magic. The entire premise of the effects is you have a sharpie which should be permanent, but it isn’t. The natural explanation is maybe the pen is not a permanent marker. These effects are amusing, but not impossible magic.
One of the effects, Shapes, is not new. The effect is four ESP symbols are drawn on a glass table. The participant selects one and it disappears. This DVD explained half the method, but leaves you dirty. I have seen this performed before with a glass frame and the method is much more comprehensive.
I was also disappointed that they didn’t discuss how to make your own sharpie gimmick. Other DVDs have gone into this explanation.
VERDICT
Not a whole lot that was new here. To me, this DVD was the definition of magic churning. Take old ideas, most of which are on other people’s DVDs, and churn out a new DVD.
