ConSealment

Rogers, Wayne

Paul Romhany

(Based on 1 review)
A multi-purpose utility device for the mentalist and magician. Wayne Rogers is the original creator of this envelope and since it's release in early 2008 it has made its way to many a professional workers repertoire. For the first time Consealment is now available to others in this unique package.

Use it to switch predictions, multiple outs, change cards, read serial numbers, the ideal "clean up" for packet card tricks. So many uses you are limited by your imagination.

Spectators can look right inside up close with nothing suspicious to see yet you can use it to perform some incredible magic and mentalism.

Also included on the DVD is the PDF file so you can see the original instructions and get a full understanding on the construction of the gimmick envelope.

"What is so good is the fact that you use the "seam" side for both sides. Usually, gimmicked envelopes use the plain side. Somehow, using the seam side really makes it look ordinary. Yes, they are very deceptive!"
- Richard Osterlind

"When it comes to envelopes, nobody comes close to what Wayne Rogers produces"
- Ken Dyne

"I think you have a winner here."
- Doug Dyment

"This is slick. I love simplicity. Having said that, I wouldn't have thought of this . . . Doug Dyment was right. This is a practical solution I can use."
- Mike Ince

"I don't know of ANY OTHER envelope that offers such a variety of routines for both magicians and mentalists."
- Paul Romhany

Overview

The double sided envelope is not new to the magic community. It has been used in numerous venues from card magic to mentalism. As effective as the double sided envelope is, it suffered from one major flaw. An observant spectator can tell if the envelope was turned over to access the proper side. Due to the telltale seam that is only on one side, it may be noticeable when the envelope is rotated to dispense its contents. Most performers would dismiss that discrepancy and say that nobody will notice, but for those that would like and ironclad routine with no indication that something was amiss, ConSealment by Wayne Rogers has the solution for the more discriminating performer.

Effect

Numerous effects can be done with the ConSealment double sided envelope. The DVD provided discusses 11 presentations which only scratches the surface of opportunities. On the DVD the envelopes are used in the following ways: Linking Paper Clips, A Diary Force, Out to Lunch, Princess Card Trick, Cards Across, Thought Of Word, Keyrect lock routine, Bill Switch, Living and Dead Test, Bank Night and a Which Hand routine.

Method

ConSealment is a double sided envelope that has been specially manufactured to look the same on both sides. The envelope was manufactured with a seam on both sides so when turned over to either side there is no discrepancy in appearance.

Product Quality

Included with the purchase is 10 ConSealment envelopes and a DVD with 11 performances. The quality of the manila colored envelopes is excellent. They do not look any different than most pay envelopes but of course the seam is on both sides. The DVD is fairly well produced and stars Paul Romhany and friend performing and then explaining each trick. The envelopes can be used as a standalone effect or as a supplemental phase to an existing effect of yours.

Ad Copy Integrity

The ad copy states exactly what you will receive and is very accurate. This is a nicely produced project if you would like to add an envelope type effect to your set.
