Hansford, Alex

(Based on 1 review)
Alex Hansford had taken something old, something new and something borrowed to offer a beautiful wedding of effects in this download from one of Britain's most creative young talents. This stunning piece of prestidigitation is a four for one transposition of any four of a kind with a spectators freely chosen card.

The magic is clean, fair, highly visual and can take place in the spectators hand.

This is #Hashtag.

It was kind of hard to rate this product because on one hand, the effect is good and the method is doable, but there are some limitations.

The video is clear with good lighting and sound and the instruction that Alex gives is great - he covers everything you need to know to perform the effect.

There are angles issues here and this only looks good from one side and from a certain standpoint, in front of you. If you are performing for seated people you will probably not do this unless the table is above your waist height and this is better done when you are seated.

The techniques used in this and the effect itself are both viable for the right conditions. The ad copy is mostly accurate except for that statement that it "...can take place in the spectator's hand." Not true as far as I can tell, other than the selection of a card which does not really count. If it can be done at all, it is not taught anywhere in the video.

For $6 you get a good technique that is not terribly hard to do but it will require practice to get the flow. In my opinion there are better ways to do the same effect but like I said, in the right conditions this works and the method is doable.
