Ten incredible self working card tricks. Zero moves. 100% awesome.

"In magic, today as always, the effect is what counts. The methods used are always purely secondary."
- Dai Vernon

Ultimate Self Working Card Tricks Vol3 collects together ten of the greatest card tricks of all time - routines that will absolutely decimate any audience. Yet despite their incredible impact, they do not require any sleight of hand. Yep, these barnstorming effects are SELF WORKING! Using ingenious methods that will allow you to fool absolutely anyone, they ensure that you can purely concentrate on your performance.

From Daryl's insanely visual 'Rising Card' to Sal Piacente's impossible multiphase card cheat demonstration 'Memory Opener' to Caleb Wile's magician fooling 'Armchair Mindreading', these are truly world class magic tricks.

Seriously these are NOT your run of the mill self working effects - these are some of the most powerful card tricks ever invented - they just happen to require no sleight of hand.

Prepare to fool the pants off your audience. And while they are busy reeling from the impact of these stunning effects, you will be able to have a little laugh inside about just how EASY to perform they were!

Ultimate Self Working Card Tricks Volume 3 is hosted by James Went (from the Bafta winning hit BBC show 'Help, My Supply Teacher Is Magic'), Liam Montier, Ryan Schlutz and Owen Packard.

Time to step in and get learning!

Yet another 5-star winner from BBM

I was quite hesitant buying Volume 1 of this series. I have been burned too many times buying DVDs describing self-working card effects... frequently, there were only a few tricks on the disk and they frankly, they really weren't very good...or so old as to be one of those tricks my uncles or grandfathers learned. There were a few exceptions, but not many. Books by Karl Fulves and John Scarne at least gave you 100 tricks. So if only 20% were any good, you at least learned 20 tricks!

Apparently, the gang at Big Blind Media felt the same way and they were VERY careful when it came to selecting the ten tricks for each of their three USWCT DVDs. Furthermore, the talented stable of BBM magicians presented the effects and then discussed them as if they were shooting the breeze and sharing methods with each other at the neighborhood brick and mortar magic shop.

That intro is a long way to get into the review of USWCT Vol. 3.

Here's my review -- stop reading and buy this disk. Period.

For those of you who are stubborn here are a few details:

As with Volumes 1 and 2, this disk provides ten wonderful tricks. First an intro to the trick's creator plus a short intro. Then the trick is performed "live" and then explained. The performing magician explains the effect to another one of the BBM-stable magicians. They go through the mechanics and psychology and provide a few performance tips.

You can routine these effects in any way you desire and the explanations provide enough of a context for you to do this effectively.

What is the quality of the effects on this third volume? While I thought the quality of effects dipped slightly on Volume 2, I think the effects on Volume 3 are equal to the effectiveness and mystery of those in Volume 1.

The effects:
Armchair Mindreading (Caleb Wiles)
Self Control (Simon Aronson)
Rising Card (Daryl)
Memory Opener (Sal Piacente)
Casino Clock (David Solomon)
Quadruple MatchUp (Nick Trost)
The Stapled Card (John Scarne)
Devastation (Geoff Williams)
Impossible Divination (Larry Jennings)
The Red & The Blue (Alex Elmsley)

My favorites are Armchair Mindreading, Rising Card, Scarne's Stapled Card and Impossible Divination. In each case, I have added enough "business" to make the effects match my personality. And that, in fact, is what makes these effects "workers".

A word of note .. as has been said many, many times before, "self working" does not mean "no practice". I would contend these effects require a high degree of practice, pacing and thinking before you take them out for a spin.

Format notes:
Available in both physical DVD and download formats at the same price. If you do not have either Volume 1 or 2 (or neither), you can get a great package deal with all THREE bundled for a price slightly higher than just one disk!!

As with all products from Big Blind, production values are of the highest standard. And the teaching and pure fun-value is way up there!

I can't wait for Volume #4!!!!
