Overview
Reviewing a classic of magic like this is a funny thing -- like reviewing 'War and Peace'. However: our readers deserve a solid review of even the classics. That said, this is an enjoyable book on number-focused magic. I have always (for good reason) found it odd that the words "self-working" appeared on the cover. Maybe the intention was to counter anyone's fear of numbers -- understandable, honestly.I think it should be clear: much of what is here is not really super heavy in the math department. Conversely, everything here does NOT have high entertainment value. The average, amateur performer will probably find something they should work into their next show, for sure. I personally enjoyed some of the plain old bar bets here -- some are quite clever.
Personally-speaking, this book belongs on your shelf.
