Technicolor Cheek

Wilson, Paul R.

(Based on 1 review)
A sensation in Paul's lectures. Easy to do with a tremendous impact and three smashing climaxes. You show a red backed deck. A card is freely selected. The deck is then shuffled ala Triumph (half of the cards are face up and half of the cards are face down). You clearly show the deck in that situation by spreading it. After a magic gesture, a blue backed card appears face down in the deck. Believe it or not, it is the selected card. Another magic gesture, the deck is spread again and now (are you ready?) all the cards are not only face down, but they have become all blue backed. No rough and smooth, no stripper, virtually no moves. Complete with routine, ideas and the deck ready to use.

The first time I performed this for someone (Sasha, my bartender friend at Sol Cantina, in Kansas City)...the response was more than I suspected-laughter,surprise, and an actual high five! Not surprising, as this trick is stunningly visual. While I don't currently own it, I'm aware that R. Paul Wilson came out with a version that solves the reset problem. It costs a bit more than Technicolor Cheek, but in my experience it would have to be worth it. Cheek to Cheek always gets people-Technicolor Cheek, is even stronger. Ultra high impact-and easy to do. Whether you get the updated version or this one, it's a 5 star winner.
