Intercessor 2.0

Bloom, Gaetan

Essential Magic Collection

(Based on 1 review)
The Intercessor is a unique gimmick that makes miracles possible. Created by the inventive Gaetan Bloom and used in his professional shows for many years, it enables you to do most baffling versions of the classic card in orange. Indeed any effect in which a selected card is torn to pieces and then reappears, bar the corner retained by the volunteer, in an impossible location.

The New 2.0 Intercessor Gimmick is included with the DVD together with details for Gaetan's Missing Digit, his Candy routine, handling and performance tips from top magicians around the world, a comprehensive history on the development of the gimmick and performance footage of Gaetan's hilarious Salad routine.

English and French languages.

Intercessor 2.0 is a utility gimmick from the wildly creative French magician, Gaeton Bloom. If you do not already own the previous version of the Intercessor and you perform any version of card or bill to some impossible location, then stop reading this and purchase one. You won't be disappointed.

Intercessor 2.0 is one of the latest releases from Luis DeMatos' Essential Magic Collection. If you have seen any of the previous EMC products, then you know its a first class production. In the package, you receive the improved Intercessor and a DVD in both English and French. The DVD begins with a recounting the evolution of the Intercessor from the 1980's to the present. During this section, there are numerous performance tips from Bloom and other magicians sprinkled throughout. Some of these tips are in Bloom's two volume book set, Full Bloom. It is my understanding that the history of the gimmick can be found in Bloom's presentation at the Essential Magic Conference. You'll want to watch this section just for the tips as well as insight into the creative process.

The DVD features a performance-only clip of Bloom's Salad routine and two card routines: Missing Digit and Candy. Both routines are great and make excellent use of the gimmick. Since its one of his trademark routines, Bloom asks that no one steals the Salad routine. After watching it, I am not sure anyone could and do it justice. It's classic Bloom.

Owners of the first Intercessor are probably wondering what is different. First the metal of the Intercessor has been strengthened. Apparently, the first Intercessor would begin to bend after much use. Second, the templates are changed from being two different patterns to the same pattern twice. One is 2 millimeters larger than the other. This allows for some clever twists as well as being able to use the Intercessor with bills. If you own the original, you'll have to decide for yourself if you want or need the new release.

Intercessor 2.0 is a highly useful gimmick that can be used to strengthen many routines. The changes have made it applicable to bills and cards. If you don't own one, then grab one of these well-produced packages.
