The magician lights a cigarette or a candle with a match stick during the show. He looks at the stick and blows at it. Instantly it changes to a flower that he puts in his pocket.
It is what it is - no more and no less. Flower is convincing at a reasonable distance - but since fake flowers are accepted anywhere - even if they can tell it's fake, the line still works.
