Bluff is a different kind of magic DVD. The editing and Videography are outstanding. It is a 3 DVD set that tells a story while teaching you the tricks. Will you like this kind of slant? It all depends on taste. It is fun and if you have tired of the old show and tell type of magic DVDs, you might enjoy this tremendously.
The DVDs are shot in France and there is no talking. The tricks are performed to a music track within the film. The tricks and the explanations (again no talking) are easy to understand and follow. Occasionally they will use short written explanations that appear on the screen to clarify an instruction.
There are seven different performers and a wide variety of tricks, mostly close up. The tricks are divided up between, cards, coins, rose manipulations, and card flourishes. Most will take a moderate level of experience and handling. Some of the effects are advanced and beyond a mere mortals ability.
I think if you are a fan of close up and enjoy that smooth artistry of a close up style…you will find a treasure of ideas here. Knuckle busters will be in heaven, but there are things here for those with less than stellar manipulative skills as well.
