Along the way be amazed and above all amused, as Mel performs a 6 Card Repeat in a truly international way, a feat of number manipulation despite overriding distraction, a Plume routine that gets huge laughs, an underwater escape that has no water (!), a superb mindreading stunt in which he predicts a genuinely random set of numbers, manipulates his own eyeball, vanishes and reappears a borrowed watch and for his grand finale uses a flea and a feather (don't ask!).
As fans will know, Mel is a hilarious magician and all of these brilliant routines can be adapted to be used by all performers. As usual Mel takes an effect and turns it upside down with a unique and original twist!

OK..first, full disclosure..I am a Mel Mellers fan. I really, really enjoyed his first two DVDs.
The production values and editing are first class.
Now the material:
If you are familiar with Mel Mellers you will understand that you are not paying for some cutting edge, never before seen before, underground technique. What you are paying for is to see how a professional (Truly comedy magician) uses quite ordinary tricks to create amazing entertainment.
His style is quirky and unique, I doubt too many people could use his jokes and get away with it. But how he structures routines to fit his performing character is truly amazing.
Do as I do Plumes is a fun piece when you have children in your audience and his take on the 6 card repeat is interesting and someone could easily use that with their character to change the feel of that old chestnut.
What one really needs to watch with Mel, is how he take simple props and turns them into a fun filled ride. Study how he brings people up on stage... how he makes that not a task but part of the show.
Bottom line..If you are looking for new cutting edge tricks... move along.
If you want to study how a working entertainer uses simple props to create a show — it's time to go to school and get this DVD.
