Metamorphosis
Wayne Dobson and Mark Mason
(Based on 1 review)
From J B Magic comes a super clean super visual 2 coin transposition. 2 coins, 1 Chinese and 1 half dollar are examined by the spectator. The Chinese coin is placed inside the spectators closed hands and the half dollar onto the back of their hand. In the blink of an eye the 2 coins change places. Without any switches etc the 2 coins can instantly once again be examined.
Comes complete with all coins, a precision made gaff. A step by step instructional DVD teaches you everything you need to know and extra bonus handlings.
Easy to do, perfect for strolling, instant reset, learn in 10 minutes.
Running Time Approximately 45 minutes.

Eugene and I both agree that Mark Mason is possibly the greatest demo guy on the planet. He certainly lightened my wallet by $150 without much effort. But his success isn't due entirely to his pitching skills. He actually produces products that are well-made, easy to do (usually) and get favorable reviews from audiences.
Metamorphosis is no exception. Of course, starting with a Wayne Dobson effect certainly helps. The effect is very simple and visual. Two coins (U.S. half dollar and "Chinese" coin) go into someone's hands. One is taken out and placed on the back of his hand. The coins change places in a blink.
The effect comes with all the props you need and an instructional DVD. The method is easy and well-explained, including a bonus handling which is even easier to do than the normal routine (though not quite as clean).
I only have one gripe about the product: the (faux) "Chinese" coin. Parts of this product had to be specially manufactured. With that in mind, why are we still using a faux Chinese coin. With China gaining political and economic power in the world, more and more people are traveling to China. If you've been (I have), you'll note that there are no coins like this anywhere in China.
Maybe some day soon, someone will either find another coin with a hole in it that's nearly the same size as a US half dollar. I'm guessing one already exists. If not, maybe we should switch to making faux coins from some country that few people have actually visited.
