Hyper-Bent-Elation

Fooler Dooler

(Based on 1 review)
Two cards are selected and signed before being openly cut, folded and passed through "the fourth dimension" where they magically transform into bizarre and amazing double faced and double backed Hypercards! These impossible cards are then given away as souvenirs to your spectators as evidence of the amazing magical experience they will never forget!

This jaw-dropping effect is absolutely incredible! On it's recent convention release it received reactions ranging from stunned silence to total bewilderment from spectators around the world!

You will find the exact same top quality production that you have grown to expect from Fooler Doolers and Daryl - The Magician's Magician.

Hyper-Bent-Elation comes complete with 24 specially printed poker size Bicycle Rider backed cards (manufactured for us by the U.S. Playing Card Company), detailed written instructions with 19 crystal clear photographs and a performance/explanation DVD including numerous effect and handling variations.

I'm predisposed to like this effect. I love optical illusions and topology problems. I've been playing with hyper cards since I was a kid.

Darryl has combined this “puzzle” with a magical transposition. Two cards are placed together, cut and bent to form two hyper cards and, in the process, the face and back transfer leaving you with one double-facer and one double-backer.

After playing with it, I'm not as excited as I had expected. After reading the instructions and working with the cards, I decided to watch the DVD. I think my issue is a lack of a sense of “magic”. It's really more of a puzzle than anything else. So it's really up to the performer to turn this puzzle into magic.

A few notes:

You can have the cards signed. If you choose to do this, you might want to make sure you do it for a couple. Otherwise the two people might end up fighting over which one gets the double-facer with the two signatures (the double-backer is less interesting in this case).

If you're going to do this, I highly suggest looking at The Detective Trick on the DVD. It's a solid routine and, most importantly adds some magic to the routine.

Remember that each performance destroys two cards. Since both cards are “special”, you'll need to have a good source for double-back and double-face cards.

And don't skip the “Bonus Ideas” section of the DVD. There's at least one idea that you'll not want to miss.
