PROS
The DVD is a very extensive tutorial of card spinning, floor bouncing, card spin productions, card juggling, and more.
I think this is a great DVD for a magician to pick up a little talent to bring more depth to a show. Learning a physical card talent varies the entertainment and can make a show more enjoyable.
Jeff teaches a little secret that can make a huge difference for many performers. There were a lot of card flourishes that I figured I just wouldn’t do because of dry hands. His little secret puts some very nice card flourishes at the disposal of most anyone.
CONS
There are many different card manipulations taught. Some will be much harder to learn than others. I wouldn’t expect someone to learn them all, unless they really dedicate a LOT of time. Jeff says up front that card manipulation has been a long passion of his. I think that for the average person watching this DVD, it would be better to pick one or two things to practice and perfect
VERDICT
This is a great DVD for anyone to pick up something a little different from the regular “card trick”. Highly recommended.

“I suggest that you don’t copy my act move for move. You don’t want to be a McBride clone. I want you to be inspired by these techniques and invent your own new routines.” --Jeff McBride
Long before most of today’s extreme card manipulators were even the faintest trace of protein, Jeff McBride was blowing away magicians and laymen alike with his revolutionary card techniques. Cards didn’t just appear in his hands, they exploded from them, spinning into the air with a life of their own. Sometimes employed to enhance an effect, other times as self-contained feats of juggling, these dynamic techniques helped give the card portion of Jeff’s act vital energy, which in turn fueled all the magic around it.
With that in mind, Zoom, Bounce & Fly is Jeff’s latest gift to card manipulators, a DVD teaching the various card spinning techniques (vertical, horizontal, arcing, straight, etc) that have earned him, among many other awards, a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. Not surprisingly, none of them are easy to master, but Jeff shares all the details you’ll need to start practicing, adapting and ultimately implementing every one. If you’re looking to enhance your existing card manipulation, you’d be crazy not to check this out. If, on the other hand, you’re building a card act from scratch, you might consider buying this as a complement to Jeff’s Art of Card Manipulation DVDs, or Romaine’s Expert Card and Billiard Ball Manipulation, or Jeff Sheridan’s Genius at Work, Volume 2, or all of the above.
