The last word in book tests. If you thought the original Flashback was great, wait until you see the ultimate version. Included are four new and examinable paperback novels. Plus a copy of an unprepared Webster's Dictionary. And a fifth paperback designed exclusively to perform the "Hoy Book Test" without having to miscall the selected page number. Here's a brief description of some of the incredible effects you'll be able to perform - A spectator concentrates on the first word on any page in any of the five paperbacks provided. Instantly the performer can reveal the word the spectator is thinking of. The spectator can point to any word in a paragraph on the selected page and you can proceed to discern it. The spectator concentrates on a proper name elsewhere on the page and you can immediately reveal it. The spectator merely thinks of a word on the next line and you've predicted its location in an unprepared dictionary. You and the spectator freely select identical words in each others book. Three spectators each think of a word in their freely selected book and you instantly reveal all three words. Plus, the greatest version ever of the Hoy Book Test, without having to miscall the selected page. In addition, you reveal the spectator's thoughts - not just a single word. This "Ultimate" version includes all the effects possible with the original Flashback plus the vastly expanded routines possible with the new version.

This is truly everything that it says it is. I would have kind of liked it to have a DVD, but don't get me wrong, the written instructions DO cover things quite well. I must say I wouldn't recommend letting your spectators do an in-depth examination of the books (perhaps something mild PRIOR to beginning), but that being said,...doing a complete routine of with these is a dream and you WILL blow people away with it. This is totally worth its price, mostly because you get not just a book test, but a complete multi-phase routine that is virtually a book tests 'greatest hits' all in one place. This exceeded my expectations in more ways than one. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend for those who like book tests. Does more than the original Flash Back, and as always that does not come without a little more effort memorizing what you are supposed to do and ask ect.. Of course having all the Becker and Earl book tricks - you must remember what you can do with which book - gives you the possibility to let the spectator choose from an even larger number of books, which in my experience lessens the chance of suspicion and hence the chance of the secret being found out. But it has happened to me, do not let the spectator examine the books afterwards. Before performing the trick there is no problem as long as you do not explain beforehand what you are going to do, something that in most cases is neither advisable nor necessary.
