Mental Distance Divination

Fabrice Dalaure

(Based on 1 review)
4 small wood squares with 5cm sides and a thickness of 10mm, each with a sticker on one face, are placed sticker down on a table. A spectator is asked to mix them, then to choose one, note the sticker on it, then replace it face down and mix all the squares again. While the spectator is doing this, the magician is in another room (or clearly nowhere near the spectator), blindfolded and carefully watched by another spectator.

Instantly, the magician is able to reveal which sticker is on the square chosen by the spectator.

No camera, no stooge, no microphone, no earphone!

How does it work?

The 4 squares contain a specifically coded transmitter with rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries. The entire device is permanently sealed in resin withstanding 1,000 kg per cm². The resin square is covered with a thin layer of wood (mahogany). This is totally undetectable !

Each transmitter square also contains a mercury switch able to detect whether the square is in a horizontal or vertical position. As soon as the square is in a vertical position (i.e. when the spectator picks it up to look at it), it transmits its code.
The code is translated as impulses received thanks to a vibrating receiver placed between the belt and the small of the back. There is absolutely no danger !

The receiver is in an autonomous case.

The kit:
4 transmitter wood squares,
the vibrating receiver, the charger,
illustrated multilingual instructions,
and stickers.

2-year parts and labour guarantee.

very good when it works. as a professional entertainer i need stuff i can rely on. could only get two of the four discs transmitting pulses. managed to e-mail the creators but had problems understanding their pigeon english (as you will find in their instructions that come with the trick). with a lot of extra charging and shaking the discs i got the other one working, so now 3 out of the 4 discs are working pretty much most of the time. if you can live with that, and i think i can, you have a superb peice of mental magic for close-up performances.
