Overview
The Ring Swing Thing is not a new trick. What you get with your $29.95 purchase is a small dog tag necklace, a larger than finger sized ring and 30 minutes of downloadable instruction.I have reviewed a cheaper version of this trick before and for me, this is not a great trick. Although marketed as 'not a puzzle' it really seems like a puzzle trick to me.
You can wear this and carry it with you all the time and if this is your sort of thing then
Effect
The basic effect is that a dig tag chain is dropped through the middle of the ring and although they are not attached, the ring because connected to the chain. There are other phases in which the chain apparently detaches and melts through the ring.It is marketed as a great EDC and walk around routine. For my personal taste, this trick is not that impressive nor is it worth $30 bucks.
Method
The method is the use of gravity and a natural occurrence when dropped just right. The issue for me is that I just could not get it right and it really didn't catch for me. If it did, I may have rated this differently.Product Quality
Dog tag is not great. It is what it is. The ring is nice size, consistency and finish. The instructional video is too long and a bit boring at times.Ad Copy Integrity
