Christopher Taylor

Penguin

(Based on 1 review)
Imagine being able to read a thought in a glass of water -- or even your friend’s glass of beer!

CONTACT is an electronic sensor, custom designed by Christopher Taylor for Penguin, that is easily concealed in a card box. The sensor monitors what is in front of it (a glass of liquid, stack of playing cards, or other object) and sends a signal to the performer when the object is touched.

How is it applied? Well, with your back turned to a spectator, you recite the months of the year and when she hears the month she was born in, your spectator touches the surface of the water. Now you turn around and read her mind in the water.

You'll instantly know:
• Which shape has been drawn on the water
• Whether a red or black card was picked up
• which object has been chosen

Includes:
• Sensor in card box
• Mini receiver
• Detailed instructional DOWNLOAD including technical details of the system and explanation of routines
• All required batteries

The device is also easily transferable to other containers such as a notebook, drawstring bag, keepsake-box, etc. The sensor-field extends up to 3 inches from the container!

PROs

Wow! What an amazing device. The device is top notch and Christopher’s signature routine reading someone’s mind in a glass of water is just phenomenal!

The device works extremely well.

This is well suited for close-up, parlor, or stage magic. It is very portable and takes up very little pocket space.

CONs

The device is very pricey. However, you are getting something that can do miracles.

Another consideration is you will need to have a potentially delicate piece of electronics in your pocket, so you may not want to have anything else in that pocket that might harm the device. It would be possible to place the device elsewhere, but the DVD instruction is to put it in a pocket.

VERDICT

If you can part with the cashola, this is simply amazing!
