Sheer Luck - The Comedy Book Test
Farquhar, Shawn
(Based on 1 review)
You and a spectator stand back to back while they freely select any page from the book. Then with absolutely no effort you are able to recite word for word any sentences, paragraphs or even a whole page that is selected.
During the entire demonstration the audience see just how the "magic" works. Once revealed to the volunteer you will stun everyone by showing them the solution they thought was being used... isn't it at all.

REVIEW:
This book test is pricey, but if you are looking for a good light-hearted comedy book test with a killer kicker at the end, this is it.
There are very few book tests with a comedy premise built into the routine. This is possibly the best out there.
This is one of only three book tests that I perform. They are:
1. This one
2. Word in a Million - Mark Mason
3. Lunatic - Outlaw Magic
CAUTION:
The product is well made and the instruction is very good. Shawn not only really thought this one through, but has refined it in many performances. The only caution I would have, is that in my humble opinion, I think you need a good set up for the routine to make it INEXPLICABLE in the minds of your spectators when you get to the kicker ending. What you don't see in the DVD is how Shawn incorporates this routine into a full set. Even though it comes across as light hearted humor, you want the strong magical ending to play big, and I think a good set up will do so. So, the premise is you build up a special power you have, bring down the tension with the humor, and bring it back up at the end with the strong magical ending.
VERDICT:
This is one of the three best book tests, period. It is possibly THE BEST comedy book test.
