This booklet was part of a search I did, for no gaff card effects. A look 'backward' in time, for usable material that was relevant and enduring. Going through the effects, I came away with four, that I have repeatedly used with success. These are,
A-3-5 (sucker effect, identity card change)
The Casino Trick (sandwich effect)
Dishonest mistake (sucker reverse with surprise punchline)
Easy Aces Reversed (no sleight reversal)

The tricks are relatively easy to learn and perform, and require minimal to no set up. 'Favorite effects' is a relative term, and there will be tricks in this book worth doing along with the ones I preferred. In my opinion, Easy Aces Reversed, is shocking, impossible looking, and continues to earn strong responses when I show it. It's like Triumph using the four aces. Like any number of other 'oldies' put out by Magic Inc., the cost is little, compared with the power of these usable gems. I can never completely know, but these books seem to provide me, or anyone really, with material that may very well be considered unique NOW-more than half a century later-because they haven't been done to death like some of the classics-and because they are obscured by of the moment books and dvds. From a collector's vantage point, I appreciate the cover graphics, the interior photo of Leech, and knowing that this material was used by a pretty influential card master. Worth FAR MORE than 7 dollars.
