(Based on 1 review)
Level of difficulty: easy/medium
No sleights, no forces. Inspired by the princess card trick, this effect allows the spectator to deal the cards out and see that their card IS actually gone from their hands, BEFORE they even mention the name of their card!
Includes:
Special gaff cards, full deck, detailed, illustrated instruction booklet, free online video instructions.

I started the review process for this effect getting really pissed off. The first page of the instruction booklet points the reader to a website where they can watch video instructions. Guess what? Yeah, bad URL. Strike one.
Luckily, things got better from here. The creator has come to the same conclusion I had years ago: the Princess Card Trick (PCT), in its common form, needs a resolution. If you show some cards, take one away that you claim is the audience's selection, it's just not enough to show the remaining cards. It's incomplete.
EXODOUS is Cosmo Solano's solution. I think it's a pretty good one.
Of course, the cards are feked. But you assumed that just knowing it was a version of the PCT. With EXODOUS, you get a full deck with two subsets of feked cards. There's a lot more going on here than with the original version.
The printed instructions are very clear. They go to great lengths to explain the cards, principles and preparation before you start messing around. This is a good thing. There's even a description of how roughing fluid works.
There are some sleights necessary to perform the effect. Anyone who's learned a packet trick or two should have no problem doing this.
You will find one major difference from the original PCT. In this version you only mime taking out their thought-of card. You don't actually remove a card. As long as you play this right, that should add an extra bit of wonder to the effect.
