There are a couple of discrepancy-type moves that looked waaaaaaaaaaay too fishy for my style. Probably the best part of this DVD is the basic presentational premise of the effect. I think Mr. Goodwin has a clever idea. I'm not sure he fully tapped its potential, but the idea is solid.
Additionally, you get multiple handling variations which are pretty sweet as well. Again, it's "sort of" like Card Warp, but it's different enough that I would probably classify it as a different effect.
The DVD is produced well, good lighting, sound and most importantly . . . menu.
The only complaint I have is that this is a one trick DVD. This should have been 1 trick in a book or on a DVD with 15 or so other effects. I'm frankly quite bored with the one trick DVD thing. The only time it's not so bad is if the DVD comes with a special gimmick or prop, and the DVD is more of an instructional tool (rather than a booklet) for using the prop you purchase. But just releasing 1 trick on a DVD is annoying. So 1 point lost for that.
Overall, I'd give this a 3 star rating. If you're into Card Warp, I'd say this is probably worth checking out.
