Note From Reviewer: I am referring to the gimmicks these DVDs are focused on as L**PS. Yigal Mesika has trademarked the title, and so I legally can't type the name without paying him a quarter.

It’s debatable that l**ps are quickly replacing the thumb tip as the magician’s favorite gimmick with a thousand and one uses. This DVD is an offering from the creator and owner of the gimmick. While the effects are useful, and the product is nicely put together with fancy edits and a tin DVD case, there is a lot in the way of this being a great product.
Disc One features Finn Jon. This a great opportunity to see the creator use his invention in some really magical and clever ways. However, he seems to hold back on some details, such as how to practice balancing bubbles on a thread. Instead, he explains the effect by simply declaring he is using a l**p! However, he does come across as a likable human being and does offer some very useful knowledge on these discs.
Disc Two features Yigal Misika. On this disc we are told how great Yigal is, and he is kind enough to teach us his favorite effects using l**ps. He comes across as sort of cocky, and manages to avoid addressing the main concerns a consumer may have. For example, Luna Shimada asks him about cleaning up after performing The Haunted Deck, and he admits to just breaking the l**p. He claims it’s worth the price of the l**p to have a cleaner effect. Well, of course it is worth it to him. He makes them! What about us mere mortals who need to spend two dollars a piece on these gimmicks? He also answers another question by referring people to Volume Three, sold separately.
In addition, you are supplied with a holder so you can keep l**ps in your wallet without getting them tangled. This is made to look like a credit card and is very well made.
Oh, and did I mention how these discs do not even come with one set of l**ps? In my opinion, if you are going to make a DVD about this gimmick, you should include the freaking gimmick!
All these problems aside, if you use these gimmicks on a regular basis, then you should probably check out this DVD. You may pick up a new effect, and you will definitely use the credit card holder. If that’s worth fifty bucks of your hard-earned money, then who am I to stop you?
