On this DVD you will learn two version of Arthur Trace's Spoon Fly routine.

Spoon Fly Version 1

Three teaspoons magically appear, travel from hand to hand, and disappear at your fingertips! This is a great routine that resets quickly and is perfect for walk-around performances.

Spoon Fly Version 2

In this version, you will learn how to transform a plastic spoon into a metal teaspoon. A chopstick is then used as a magic wand causing this spoon to disappear and reappear. The spoon then travels from hand to hand, multiplies into three teaspoons, and then back to one. Finally, the last spoon you are left holding transforms into a chopstick and is paired with the chopstick, you used throughout the routine. This is visual magic at its best.

Overview

Spoon Fly by Arthur Trace is a unique performance piece that would be great for an ending at a dinner party or any other place where there is cutlery around. Spoon Fly is sort of a combination of Three Fly and Coins Across type routine but using organic and recognizable items.

Effect

The performer displays a teaspoon and in a very short, well formatted and finely scripted piece, the spoon jumps from hand to hand, disappears and ends up emerging from elbows, pockets and other seemingly impossible places.

Method

The method is clothing dependent and will require a tremendous amount of practice just as any other manipulation routine does. Naturally there are angle considerations but does not rely on gimmicked spoons as many of these types of routines do. You do have to have a small dab of something to facilitate the work but any performing magicians usually has this in one of their magic drawers.

Product Quality

The DVD is well shot and the sound and lighting excellent. The pace is very good to follow and all the requisite moves are explained in great details. Where needed, close up shots and different angles are provided.

Ad Copy Integrity

The ad copy is accurate and if you want to do something after dinner to impress your friends, dinner guests or even the wait staff, this is an excellent piece to learn.
