Effect 1
Imagine, you show a normal metal nail. You prove it really is normal by having the spectator examine it. Then you ask the SPECTATOR to hold the nail at their finger tips. Next, you ask the spectator to concentrate on the nail. As they do, they see the nail start to bend in THEIR hand! Once the nail stops bending the spectator can examine it. There is NOTHING to find!!!
This is as close as it gets to REAL MAGIC!
Effect 2
Imagine, you show a nail that has been previously bent. You drop it on the table to prove that it is solid. Next, you ask the SPECTATOR to pick up the nail and hold it flat on their hand. The metal nail starts to bend until it is completely straight. The spectator can examine the nail, there is NOTHING to find. This is as close as it gets to REAL MAGIC!
- No Switching
- No Magnets
- No Extra Gimmicks
- No Electronics
- Nothing is used except for the nail itself.
- (1) Gimmicked bent nail
(1) Gimmicked straight nail
(1) Setting tube

I bought 2 of them. They work great.

This was a big let down for me. It simply does not work for me. I did everything correctly; I followed the DVD instructions carefully (given to me by World Magic Store very kindly) and it still would not reset.
The "main" nail (the one which bends when you rub it) never stays straight. I cannot straighten it out; it always has an unnatural curve in it. As for the secondary nail, that simply does nothing at all. When cooled or heated up it remains at exactly the same shape - I think its broken somehow, or maybe its just a regular bent nail.
The reset is very tricky, and takes several minutes. It might be ok for stage work... assuming it is working.

A while back I reviewed a product called Phork. (check out that review) This has the same performance problems as "Phork". If a spectator bends or unbends an item in their hand (a seemingly inexpensive item) with their mind . . .they will want to keep it. Uh-oh.
The good news is... this really looks like a nail. The bad news is . . . like one of the previous reviewers, I could never get my bent nail to mimic the way the straight nail bends. This is important when you make a switch later in the routine.
Additionally, the instructions are just one page. They don't give you much help with the performance or subtleties of this effect.
If you really, really want to have a participant bend or unbend a nail with their mind, then this might be worth playing with. However, if you are looking for something to pick up and do tomorrow...move along.

I have seen a few people are not to pleased with this effect, first off the directions have got to be the worst I have ever seen!
However Craig Petty has a DVD out for this effect, and it does help a bit.
A few friends and I have tried the cold spray, and as far as we are concerned, that works best.
The trick itself is awesome, I urge anyone out there who has purchased this to try the cold spray, you should find a can of this at your local hardware store. In a pinch you can get a can of the compressed air, the stuff for blowing dust out of your keyboard and stuff, Invert the can and slowly spray some of the propellent on to the nail, it works just as well.
