A powerful card trick, that's not really a card trick. From the minds of Adam Wilber and Justin Miller.

THE WHAT, WHERE, WHEN & WHY WALLET

A great opener for any strolling environment. This is a visual and surprising routine that's extremely easy to perform and hits the Pack Small Play Big mark. Can be performed in person as well as virtually.

The magician introduces a wallet containing 4 playing cards and an envelope.

The Spectator freely names one of the four cards when suddenly they all turn into blank cards with the words "What, Where, When & Why" printed on them.

The magician draws attention to the envelope in the wallet to find the one and only card inside of it matches the spectator's freely named card.

WHAT DO YOU GET?

WWWW Wallet project comes with beautifully printed cards that do all the work for you so you can focus on entertaining your spectators.

You'll also receive a high-quality gimmicked wallet in black faux leather that's built to last a lifetime. Sized to fit in any pocket from your suit coat to your skinny jeans...We're kidding, don't wear skinny jeans

The entire effect is self-contained and takes only seconds to reset. A real strolling gem that will go directly into your set once you see how easy it truly is.

MIND PAINTING ROUTINE

The second routine on this project is called Mind Painting. This is a fun way to show your spectator the true power of their own imagination.

A playing card is selected from the deck.

The spectator then signs a blank piece of paper (their mind painting canvas).

A fun and magical, Bob Ross moment of magic transpires as the spectator looks at their signed canvas to realize it's now a painting of their selected card.

This is then given away as a souvenir

As an afterthought, you draw attention to the deck and the entire deck front and back goes blank.

Note
This bonus routine uses a mental photo deck or a blank deck that you'll need to provide yourself for the kicker ending but the routine can be done with a standard deck as well.

A CRAZY FUN, SUPER VISUAL CARD ROUTINE MADE FOR THE WORKERS AND HOBBYISTS ALIKE!

Overview

The Magician introduces a wallet containing 4 playing cards which are freely shown front and back plus an envelope. The Spectator freely names one of the four cards when suddenly they all turn into blank cards with the words "What, Where, When & Why" printed on them. The magician draws attention to the envelope in the wallet to find the one and only card inside of it matches the Spectator's freely named card. This is an amazing betting and predication effect all wrapped up into one. Packs small, plays big and very visual.

Effect

The What, Where, When & Why Wallet a is a powerful card trick, that's not really a card trick from Adam Wilber and Justin Miller. There is no force of cards, the Spectator can freely change their mind as many times as they want. This can be repeated to other Spectators with a different card chosen. It will work every time. The bonus ‘Mind Painting’ routine is a fun way to show your Spectator the true power of their own imagination. A playing card is selected from the deck, the Spectator then signs a blank piece of paper (their mind painting canvas). A fun and magical moment transpires as the Spectator looks at their signed canvas to realize it has now a painting of their selected card which can then be given away as a souvenir. As an afterthought, you draw attention to the deck and the entire deck is now blank.

Method

This is a very visual and fun effect with a few options. The wallet and cards do all the work for you so that you can focus on your presentation. There are some moves/slights that you will have to learn however some of the more experienced card workers will have no issues with them. Are there some slight angle issues, yes, but nothing serious. You will also be taught a bonus routine which is very nice. It uses a mental photo deck or a blank deck that you will need to provide but the routine can be done with a standard deck as well.

Product Quality

This effect comes with nicely printed cards that do all the work for you. You also receive a high-quality nicely sized gimmicked wallet in black faux leather that will last a long time. The entire effect is self-contained and takes only seconds to reset. You will receive a password protected link to your online tutorial which is divided into 8 sections of over 61 minutes. Adam does an excelled job of teaching you his effect with all the necessary patter and nuances. From demonstrating the effects to the set ups, handling and live performances, he covers it all. This tutorial has something I have never seem, Adam provides his e-mail and cellular number should you have any questions or need extra help. WOW! For the Mind Painting routine you will be given a .pdf file to download so you can print the extra props needed to perform this one.

Ad Copy Integrity

The ad and trailer depict quite well what you will be getting and what this effect looks like in performance. However, the ad says that the skill level is for beginners but I feel it is more for intermediate and higher. Can a beginner learn this - definitely but there will be some fairly skilled work involved. Also, it mentions that there is ’no’ audience management needed but there is. It may be minimal but there is some involved. They also say that it is "a real strolling gem” well, sort of. This needs to be performed on a table or other flat surface. Strolling in a restaurant or bar certainly but strolling in a cocktail reception environment being surrounded with no tables, not really.

Final Thoughts

A great, fun and highly entertaining routine for any strolling or parlor performance as indicated above. This is a very visual and surprising routine that is easy to perform and packs small, plays big. This effect can be performed in person as well as virtually should you wish. Even though some of the ad was a little exaggerated as commented on, I am deducting 1/2 a star for that. I would still highly recommend this one.

Overview

I have a confession to make…I have bought and continue to buy more magic than I can ever perform. However, I’m pretty sure I am not alone. With all the magic I have bought, it is rare I think that I got a lot for my money. These days for $25 you get a packet trick of a half dozen cards and a 15 minute instructional video. I can’t tell you how pleased I was when I received What, Where, When & Why Wallet by Vulpine Creations. It truly is a veritable bargain. If you would like a pat routine that is long enough to entertain and engage with your spectators and feature you as a fun and interesting person then this effect fits the bill.

Effect

You take out a wallet and tell your spectator(s) that you are counting on them to be right. From the wallet you take out and show four cards which are a pair of red and black sevens and a pair of red and black queens. If they choose the correct card YOU get to keep your money, but if they choose the wrong card you will give THEM $20. They choose a card and you place it face down on the table. You then say, I know you have questions and so do I. As you turn the cards over, the faces of the cards now turn into the words “What, Where, When and Why”. For each of these questions you emphasize the how curious this is becoming. However, to find out the actual answers you turn over the face down cards which now reads “Look in the Wallet”. You then open the wallet and in the wallet is an envelope, out of which you tip out their chosen card. The impoverished magician gets to keep his money.

Method

The effect is built on several factors which is a special wallet and custom printed cards. The “outs” are easily accessible and the wallet and cards do most of the work for you. There is a small bit of card handling but not outside the realm of a beginner / intermediate card handler. Like most magic, the work is in the performance and delivery. Everything is included in this incredibly priced product.

Product Quality

What you receive is a very nice “I can’t believe it’s not real leather” faux leather Himber wallet as well as 7 custom printed cards and 2 sturdy black thick stock envelopes. The wallet is very well made from the alignment of the folds to the stitching. The wallet should sell for the asking price alone. The cards are Bicycle stock so there are no quality issues there and the envelopes are heavy paper stock which not only will last a long time but feel nice a sturdy in the hand. The video instruction parallels the quality of the tangible items. Over one hour of video instruction which will cover two excellent routines. The production quality is excellent as well as the pacing and explanation. You couldn’t ask for more in this very nicely priced package.

Ad Copy Integrity

The ad copy for What, Where, When & Why Wallet is completely and totally accurate. The product delivered is exactly as described. When they say quality wallet, that is not an exaggeration. All this great magic for only $25.
