A Real Turn On

Bob Solari Magic

(Based on 3 reviews)
The performer spreads the cards face up between his hands asking the spectator to pick a card.

(No Force) The performer turns his head away during the selection.

The performer asks the spectator to sign his/her name across the selected card.

With the performers head still turned away, the selected card is returned to the face up deck.

The performer explains that it would be easy to find their card by just looking for a card with their signature on it.

The performer explains that he has invented a deck that will find the selected card automatically.

The performer turns the deck over.

A light switch is seen on the back of the deck.

The switch is turned on.

A single card shoots out of the deck!

The card is turned over.

It is the selected signed card!

This a guaranteed laugh getter.

Quick reset, no skill required.

Each unit is hand crafted and tested by me.

Supplied with VERY SPECIAL Bicycle deck, Gimmicks, and easy to follow instructions.

I have bought A Real Turn On, and many other gems from Bob Solari Magic. Bob is a genius. His creative mind is a gift to magicians. A Real Turn On is unique. I love showing this trick because no one has ever seen this kind of presentation. A deck of cards with a regular light switch. It doesn't get much better than this. People love this kind of stuff.
Keep feeding your brain Bob, we look forward to your next creation in the world of magic. This is actually a 6 star rating, but 5 is all they allow me.

I don’t know how Bob Solari ever makes any money with his products. Every prop seems to be custom-crafted by hand. No mass production here! And the prices are reasonable. Actually, I take that back, the prices are insanely cheap considering the amount of effort he has to be putting into these things (unless he’s got some minion of helpers hidden out somewhere in his basement).

A Real Turn-On adds a whole new level of customization. It’s not just a special deck; it’s a really special deck. Half the deck has a light switch embedded in it!

Talk about high production value!

The effect is that of a rising card, ala Jeff McBride’s Kundalini Rising. But where Jeff’s is very esoteric, Bob’s is technical (I won’t say “hi-tech” because light switches have been around for ever).

The method is solid. In fact, it’s a method I’ve been using for decades. The card is a free selection and can be signed. The deck, even the part with the switch, can be fully examined.

In Bob’s presentation, the whole switch thing is hidden until after card is selected, signed and returned. This is a theatrical choice, but by no means necessary. Personally, I like the surprise moment.

Bob’s attention to detail is always impressive. He even includes a few stickers for those of you that would rather not have the selected card, itself, signed. I prefer to have it signed and given away as a souvenir. It’s just a better picture. Cards are cheap. You shouldn’t be.

The only thing I would disregard in the instructions is the line about “while I’m alive” if they’re taking too long to select a card. It can come off as insulting. Just time your spread better.

This effect is so novel that you really need to try it to actually appreciate the impact it has on an audience. It is exactly as described. I have used some lines as I've been told to "lighten" up on my magic or My" Current "trick is a real"shocker"and every one just loves the lines when the deck is turned over to reveal the light switch you cant imagine the smiles . The deck is rather tedious to make and like all of Bob's props exceptionally well made and very reasonably priced. This effect is also very easy to do and a great effect besides a laugh getter . I highly recommend it.
