Jay Scott Berry has redesigned the classic Silk Fountain that allows it to be performed without table or chair steals. Hands are shown empty and a silk is produced. The silk is pulled through the hand and bundled. From within the bundled silk, a multi-color silk fountain is produced.
The silk fountain is well made from diamond cut silks. The diamond cut silks allow the fountain to compress smaller and tighter than the traditional fountain. The opening silk is also a diamond cut.
The only downside is that you will need to be set throughout your act and a jacket or coat is required.
The effect is within the reach of most parlor performers. Parlor is the best venue for this and most of Berry’s effects.

I enjoy doing this. In really skilled hands it can appear to be a silk from nowhere appears in your hand, followed by a fountain of silks.
The colors are nicely arranged to get oohs and aahs. What was sacrificed to make this a no-steal from a table or an assistant was the size of the fountain. While the colors are attractive, the quantity of silks looks somewhat small. The diamond-shaped silks also contribute to this.
Overall, it is in the intermediate range of difficulty to perform, and to perform it really well would require a lot of practice.
