On a side note...
I hear there's an interesting segment hidden somewhere on the DVD! I'm not sure what it's all about. I'm not even sure I was supposed to mention it! Too late!

I have been using this routine on and off for a long time now and I originally learned it from "The Magical World of Slydini" by Karl Fulves. Since Tony Clark is a well-respected performer and one of the last students of Slydini, I purchased this DVD to see what his handling of the effect/routine is like.
I love it! Tony teaches everything in great detail, but I think there was one or two times that the pace of the explanations was a bit faster than it probably should have been - they just felt a tad rushed. That is just my opinion but by no means does it detract from the quality of instruction, nor does it hinder the ability of anyone to learn the necessary moves and techniques from this video.
On the other hand I really loved the split screen explanations because it made everything even more clear to the viewer. It almost renders my above statement moot.
The video was crisp and the sound was clear, the menu was also easy to navigate.
I also really enjoyed the bonus section and the ideas from the discussion between Tony and Jonathan Neal Brown - lots of great things come out of this quite candid section!
Anyone of any skill level can learn everything needed to perform this routine from this DVD. The video is clear, the props are well made (although you may want to order yourself an extra set of the nylon "silks" for later, either as a backup set or for when you tear the bejeezus out of the first set from practicing).
One final note: The handling/presentation shown and taught on this DVD is that of Tony Clark - not Slydini. That is also one of the best parts here - it is the perfect example of a performer taking a routine and making it his own in presentation, even whilst using the same techniques as the originator. It is also something that Tony Clark encourages you to do after learning the techniques on this video.
If you have ever wanted to learn the Slydini Silks routine, I highly recommend this DVD!
