“The Magic of Nefesch Volume two” is a two DVD set. It features a young magician Nesfesch from El Salvador and another magician Titanas from Greece. There are 8 different effects described in the set.

The production values are quite bad. The lighting is quite irritating and does not complement the magic at all. The sound is equally bad. It seems as though they are using the microphone on the camera for the audio input. This means that many times when they turn their heads the sound is muffled or lost completely. Additionally, the room they were in reverberated the sound, thus the audio has an echo quality which further complicates understanding what they are saying. On top of all that, English is not their first language so you will have to strain your ears somewhat to understand their accent.

They do not have a camera person so the zooms are controlled by Titanas remotely. This does not work well. They were using a high definition camera and it would seem that they did not understand how to fully use the controls, things like white balance and focusing were issues.

The effects were interesting but not exciting. “T & R from hell” is a torn and restored effect that you must do seated with some challenging hook ups. The awkward camera angle does not capture the effect in a positive light.

“Rebeled Match” is a match and matchbox routine that continues for quite a while with a less than exciting finish. It possibly could be made interesting with a compelling script, but none is provided.

“Clean Hands” is a signed coin to bar of soap. Interesting, but I have to ask why would you perform this. Introducing a bar of soap into your magic routine would be a challenge with out some kind of motivation. Strong motivation!

Titanas performs a design duplication routine that is interesting but a draw back for me was that you will have to hold the business card in your hand with your head turned as the spectator draws their design. I find this awkward and not fully convincing for a layperson.

The magic/mentalism on this DVD is definitely different. For some people it could get them thinking in some new directions. However, I am not convinced that these DVDs are full of useful material for the real world.
