Have someone concentrate on a thought.
Ask them to imagine their glass of water as a crystal ball and to focus their thoughts into it.
Tearing a corner from a piece of paper, you ask the spectator to dip the paper into the water.
Slowly and eerily...THEIR THOUGHT APPEARS ON THE PAPER!

Key Points:
  • Absolutely nothing is applied to the paper.
(No chemicals, no lemon juice, nothing)
  • Absolutely nothing can be seen on the paper prior to the revelation.
  • The paper is completely examinable before, during and after the effect!
Liquify is a 60 minute training DVD that will guide you through every nuance of this devastating effect. Using a completely organic system, Liquify gives you the ability to transform ordinary paper into a supernatural phenomenon!

PLUS: A very special secret device that will allow you to perform LIQUIFY "ON THE FLY"...anywhere with only a moments notice.

Liquify is self working, there are no angle restrictions and it's always ready to go!

I really hate writing up the review for this product. On the surface you are purchasing a method, a way to make secret writing appear. It is a very, very cool effect; however, the authors of this DVD have found a way to trivialize this miracle to nothing more than a neat schoolyard trick.

My first problem with the DVD is that there is no crediting. I am not obsessive about this, but I do like to see at least the minimum effort given. If your entire DVD is about one trick you would not think that hunting down a little crediting would entail that much work. It took me a short walk to my library to check some sources.

The original idea comes from Al Baker. After that, the next huge step forward is Docc Hilford’s work in his book, “Band of the Hand”. None of this is mentioned on the DVD. Disappointing.

The DVD is well produced; probably my only complaint would be a few shots where Richard Sanders and Bill Abbott are wearing black clothes against a black background. Ok, I’m being picky but..it was a little irritating to see the floating head effect.

After doing a good job of showing you how to prepare the effect, Richard and Bill demonstrate two “tricks” to perform. One is a very basic card force and the other is a simple page force in a book. Again, I hate to be picky but …. On the cover of the DVD is the tag line…”Mind reading has evolved”. That is a powerful statement. One would expect big things, really big things. You won’t get them.

Dipping a piece of paper in water and a message mysteriously appears… very cool… the message is a card you selected…not cool.

There just seemed to be very little thought put behind this DVD and brilliant concept. I would refer any reader to grab up Docc Hilford’s “Band of the Hand”. In that book is a trick that uses this concept, he gives proper credit, and the script is downright brilliant and scary!

This DVD seemed to be made for a quick sell to the ubiquitous 15 year old boys that are looking for the next street magic trick and not a well thought out treatise for professional entertainers.
