Amazing Acrobatic Knot w/xtra knot Red and White

Daryl

Fooler Doolers

(Based on 4 reviews)

Effect:
This incredible routine begins with you holding two separate ropes. One blue rope and one yellow rope. A knot is tied in the Yellow rope. Then, like magic, the yellow knot JUMPS OFF of the Yellow rope and onto a blue rope! Next, you slide the knot COMPLETELY OFF then VISIBLY toss it back onto the blue rope. Just as your audience is picking their jaw off of the floor, you untie the yellow knot from the blue rope... The BLUE Rope NOW has a permanent yellow section from where it was untied! To top things off, you toss the ropes out to be inspected!! For decades, DARYL has featured this incredible routine in virtually every show he's performed. In dedicationto this esteemed master Magician and teacher, Gregory Wilson has added his personal, updated routine, insight and handling to this classic effect!
  • Can be performed anywhere and everything can be examined!
  • No angle issues!
  • Includes new brighter, thicker ropes!
  • Includes an EXTRA Knot for multiple routines!
  • Daryl's Original Instruction (Online)!
  • Gregory Wilson's personal routine and full handing instructions (Online)!
  • Packs very small & plays HUGE!

This routine really can play for all ages. It has become a regular in my Performances. It really is an impressive practical piece of Magic. Like anything, it needs practise to do well. The ropes are very nice and visual. This has become my favourite rope routine. Highly recommended.

What Gordon and Paul said but I must give it a five for the way it floors the spectators.

I agree with the official review. What you get is a very well thought out professional routine. I would have left it at that and not submitted a review but after performing this at a Halloween party recently, I decided to add my experience to the already excellent review.

I guess that simplicty is golden really holds for this effect. It is simplicity - easy to perform and the plot is simple and easy to understand. But the impact - it was one of those effects that literally takes the breath of the audience away.

The looks of surprise, the gasps, the delay in applause and then sudden explosion as the effect has been comprehended fully is what every magicians longs to see and hear.

I could not have been more pleased with the response to this effect and will certainly perform it again and again. Short, but yet very very very very sweet!

Let's cut to the chase; here's what you're getting for your money. A set of two high-quality soft ropes--one with the colored section interwoven in the middle for the effect as described--a printed summary of the basic workings, and a 20 minute DVD with performances (one before a live audience) and explanations.

The basic trick, which is Pavel's Fantastic Knot, takes about 30 seconds to perform. After teaching the basics, Daryl covers his advanced routine that weaves the fantastic knot with some funny bits of business and a very visual removable/sliding knot effect to create a complete performance piece. It's the discussion of the full routine that makes up the bulk of the DVD.

And let's face it, that's really what you're paying for here. While the included ropes and fake knot are really quite nice, it's Daryl's well-paced routine, honed to perfection by 20 years of performance, that provides the real value. And Daryl seemingly tips it all, going into detail about finger positioning, staging, and offering some extra tips such as resetting for the next performance in a walk-around environment.

The quality of the DVD is excellent. It is shot from an over-the-shoulder and slightly above perspective so you get a very clear view of all the work. And if you've ever struggled with learning rope magic from a written description (such as the one included with the effect) you'll be thrilled with how easy it is to follow along with the DVD.

As usual, Daryl provides credits for the moves and ideas he's incorporated. For example, you'll learn the Hunter Bow Knot and Jack Miller's devilish Sliding Knot Move. Overall, if this trick is something you'd like to learn, I think you'll be pleased with the package.
