This is a very difficult review to write. I need to make an honest assessment of the material and its usefulness to our readers, but I have a moral dilemma standing in my way.

I'll start with the material, which is a collection of "body" stunts. For the performer wanting to do these strange contortions, Body Morphin' is an excellent resource. If this is your kind of magic, there's no need to carry a deck of cards in your pocket any more. The only props necessary go with you every time you leave the house.

Most magicians will know quite a few of these gags, but others are more obscure and a couple were "invented" by the author.

I still remember the first time my friend Jeff McBride showed me the "thumb through ear" thing… it's wickedly cool (and explained on pages 18 and 19 of this book).

There are too many items to go through them all. Suffice it to say that most people should be able to do most of the items in this book. A few require you to be in relatively good physical shape.

Now the dilemma: there was no historical research done on this material. The author claims in the introduction that "The history of these body tricks is not all that clear." I'm sure the genesis of some of these ideas is simply lost to time, but that doesn't excuse the author from making the effort. If nothing else, it would have made the book more interesting and given the author some extra credit from those of us that care about these things.
