Joe Rindfleisch's Rainbow Rubber Bands -

Joe Rindfleisch

(Based on 1 review)
The Rainbow Pack is the perfect choice with all seven colors included in each bag. Each band is coated with Elastraflex which makes the bands stronger and less likely to break during performance. Bands are able to stretch further than normal bands and continue to stay shiny. These bands are smooth to the touch and don't feel like rubber as they slide smoothly against each other. Simply put...... if you do rubber band magic, you need these bands!

There is not a whole lot to say about these rubber bands except that they are awesome!

This product line includes seven different colors which are available in .25 LB (1/4 pound) bags individually, or you can get a mixed .25 LB bag of all seven colors. The colors include Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple and Pink. The rainbow pack includes a little of each.

The rubber bands are the perfect size for your standard rubber band magic effects and routines, that is to say, size 19.

These bands have a special coating on them which makes them smoother than regular latex bands and regular rubber bands. This coating is available separately and I have yet to find a rubber band sleight that is very hard to do with these. There are a few rubber band slights that rely on twisting and friction to work, and most of them are easily doable with these bands, but some of them may take some finessing for some people.

The coating on these bands seems to stay behind on your fingers, just a little bit. You might feel a bit of difference after using these but it does not stay on your fingers for long - if it bothers you or hinders your work with cards or coins (pretty much the only other mediums that it might interfere with), it is easily removed by wiping your fingers on your clothing. It does not leave a residue on your clothes either.

To me the above point is not a negative because though I notice it, it does not interfere with anything else.

There is a major upside to these bands as well - they are latex free so anyone with a latex allergy will be able to use these, and you will not have to worry about asking your audience volunteers if they have that problem either. I do not personally have a latex allergy, but I point this aspect out particularly because this is a huge plus in my mind; I have quite a few repeat clients that do suffer from it.

There is a link to a website for Joe Rindfleisch where you can buy these bands directly from him, which also states that they will be hosting digital rubber band magic videos there in the future, available for purchase. As of this writing (the 6th of October, 2015) there are three or four videos already available.

The colors are bright, the bands are strong, the perfect size and you really cannot beat the price for what you are getting at $15/USD per 1/4 LB.

If you do rubber band magic - get these! Highly recommended!

Suggestions

There are a lot of great rubber band magic videos out there, but if you have never seen any of them before, start with the Dan Harlan series, Magic with Rubber Bands, Vols. 1-3 which were published by L&L.

Also, look into the equally great work of Joe Rindfleisch and the English magician, Russell Leeds.
