Magic of Dominique Duvivier Library, Volumes 1-3 (VHS), The Review

The magic of Duvivier is a good way to show the differences between magic from around the world. His wit is very dry and his performances are very straight forward. His english is not so great so his (Hottie) daughter translates. At the very end of the tape they both do a cups and balls routine. It's standard moves but the idea of switching off is intresting. (hey a girl who can do an Elmsley count is hot right?)

The tapes have skads (read: Lots) of information on them with practical ideas for doing such things as false cuts, zarrow shuffles, and lapping. His effect using the ltter as a running gag is priceless.

There are a few of his commecial effects on the tape as well such as his coin box routine that is very nice, as well as his chameleon cards which culminates into a myriad of off the wall effects that just take you by surprise. There are a few pieces that are kind of lackluster but on the whole what is taught on these tapes is pure gold... or in france.. Le gold.

We always say if you learn ONE thing that you use from a tape or video it was worth the price you paid. You will definitely get your money's worth here.

Trust me... I'm a magician.
