Bicycle Skull

US Playing Card Co.

US Playing Card Co.

(Based on 2 reviews)
This design was taken from a historic plate in the Bicycle® Brand archives, then updated for the 21st century. The back design is black and white, though we kept the standard four colors on the back of the deck. Perfect for pirates, villains, or anyone whose wardrobe is bursting with black.

The Skull Deck features original artwork on the card back and the Ace of Spades. These decks were printed in the USA at the United States Playing Card Company and printed on premium stock with a quality finish.

This bicycle skull deck has a really cool skull designed black-and-white tuck box and all the card have mirror imaged skulls on their backs. They come on standard 808 card stock and with your eyes closed they are indistinguishable in feel from your standard rider backed bikes. The deck comes with one skull double-backer and all of the faces of the cards are standard poker bike style and pictures except the Ace of Spades which has a black skull on a white back. The Court cards are standard 808 images, not changed in any way. There are two black and white jokers, one guarantee card and one regular joker.

These cards lend themselves to patter about the occult or pirate treasure. If you like skull imagery you will love this deck.

Oh, such a soft spot I have for these cards-I mean, the backs don't need a word from me, or anyone really. These are standard bicycle stock, handle well as ever. Faces of the cards are standard-except the court card faces look a bit more awkward, as opposed to standard Bicycle Court Cards. Jokers are standard, and in color. I am only sorry that the deck did not come with a double backer, as decks marketed for magicians do. These come in red or black, and price is reasonable. My fondess for these cards, is that the backs look exactly like graphics straight off of a Victorian Spirit Show poster. They look like cards that Devant, or Meskallyn might have used-old school stage or parlor spirit shows. Very evocative, and, these may establish mood, tone well before you even do anything with them. Perfect for pirates as well.
