To my knowledge, this DVD represents something of a first in magic. Here is a full competition act, that won many awards, being taught in its entirety. Sure, magicians have put some of the working material on DVD, sometimes even a whole show. But I don't remember ever seeing such a thing for a competition act, especially a manipulation act.

And what an act it is! I had the pleasure of seeing the act live at the IBM/SAM Combined Convention in Louisville. The act is elegant, very deceptive and has a theme to tie it all together.

Let's be clear: I doubt any of you is going to do the entire act, as is. But there are so many things to be learned… and not just for manipulation acts. In fact, I think almost any stage or parlor act could integrate one or two ideas into their show with great success.

The amount of detail is astonishing. My favorite part was the work on the costume. There are so many ideas in here for both loading and ditching! I also really enjoyed the cane production, if only because it wasn't one of those (beloved) Fantasio canes with their signature *SNAP* sound.

Please, I beg you, do not make the mistake of thinking this is "an act I would never be able to do." Look at it as an impressive library of moves, techniques and ideas you can use to enhance your own act.
